Our lovely friends at Touch Of Sparkle are hoping to donate 50 care packages to patients undergoing cancer treatment at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, UK. in December, just in time for the holidays.
If their goal of 50 care packages to be donated in December is reached, this will mark a total of 800 care packages donated to date to Addenbrooke’s by Touch of Sparkle! Awesomeeeee!!!

@_touchofsparkle UK are putting together special Christmas gift bags for the patients at Addenbrooke’s Hospital – here is how you can help Touch of Sparkle fill their Christmas gift bags ;
Touch of Sparkle is a project run by Adam Lambert UK fans (on an unofficial basis) to provide little ‘care packages’ to patients undergoing chemotherapy for cancer treatment. The project is run in aid of the Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (reg. charity no. 1048868).
The project has really taken off since Adam himself acknowledged its work on Twitter in July. 250 care packs have been donated to date and a new batch of 50 care packs will be donated in December to help those facing a diagnosis of cancer over the Christmas period.
The idea behind Touch of Sparkle is to spread a little care and humanity and try to lighten the load during this difficult stage of the patients’ journey. The packages include practical items (e.g. bed socks, tissues, vouchers, sweets, herbal tea for anti-sickness) as well as distractions (e.g. puzzle books, pens, earphones, playing cards), pamper items (e.g. nail varnish, lipbalm, eyebrow powder for hair loss) and a copy of Adam Lambert’s new album, The Original High.
Any donations, however small, are very much appreciated to help us spread a ‘touch of sparkle’ to those facing this difficult journey over Christmas.

I work with young ones but in a different capacity, I am a teacher of 11-18 year olds. PFLAG Canada is there when it seems no-one else is. Every day, PFLAG Canada volunteers are contacted by frightened adolescents and by angry, fearful or ashamed parents. PFLAG Canada is a national voice that speaks for a more accepting Canadian society by providing support, education and resources on issues of sexual orientation and gender identity. Through our PFLAG Canada Chapter and Contact network, we actively assist in the recognition and growth of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, two-spirited, intersex, queer and questioning persons and their families and friends, within their diverse cultures and societies.
